    DVD

    1 Bit Audio D/A Converter:
Sony D/A converter converts signals from all types of DVD Video and CD software (Linear PCM, quantization 16, 20 or 24 bits, sampling frequency 48, 96 or 192 Khz). In case of 24 Bits/96 Khz software, the resulting dynamic range and audio quality exceeds that of conventional CD, closer to the audio master quality.

    10-Bit Video D/A Converter

On DVD software, pictures are encoded using MPEG-2 technology in 8 bit resolution. The Sony players convert them into 10-bit to minimize digital artefacts and render picture gradations closer to the original movie master.

    5.1 Channel Out

The integrated Dolby¨ Digital/MPEG2 decoder provides the analogue signals for front, centre, and rear speakers as well as the subwoofer. Just connect your amplifier with 5.1 input to obtain digital surround sound. There is no need for an external decoder.

    Audiophile devices

For optimum sound quality of DVD Video soundtracks and CD-Audio music playback, audiophile resistors and capacitors are used in Sonys high end DVD players. An oversized R-Core transformer is employed with low magnetic flux leakage and rich lower frequency audio reproduction. The Audio circuit is isolated from the video circuitry.

    Bit-Rate Indicator

The video bit-rate represents the amount of information needed to store a picture.

    Block Noise Reduction

When using the MPEG compression digital artefacts, called block noise, can occur in the picture. The block noise reduction blurrs these blocks so that they become invisible.

    BMC Material

    Component Video Out

Outputs the video signals as they are stored on the disc. For best possible picture quality on professionel projetors or monitors.

    Copper Plated Chassis
