What can I do with this crawling microbug kit?
Discover a new type of bug with the running microbug kit (manufacturer code MK127). It chases after the light with its adjustable light sensitive sensors – the LED antenna show the direction of travel. Control the bug’s movements by using a torch or similar and adjusting the sensitivity so it follows toy beams of light. Sized just 110mm x 90mm this kit can be fitted in almost anything. Great kit to build and play with in 13 parts.
What can I learn about with this solder kit?
Practice soldering and learn about electronics and circuits with this sound to light kit solder kit which uses resistors, capacitors, transistors, LEDs and potentiometers (variable resistors). Learn how they are connected in a circuit and get practical experience soldering them. Two open chassis subminiature motors control the movement and speed the bug travels at and the LDRs (light dependent resistors) control the direction based on how much light they detect. You can use the potentiometer to alter the light sensitivity of the bug. This kit requires a soldering iron and solder and may require wire cutters and a file.
